Hello, my Weirdos!
Perhaps you have noticed - or perhaps you haven't - that I have an strange "fascination" with horror and fear. Maybe it's because I find the subconscious to be intriguing, or maybe it's because in some way I like being scared, just to prove how darn brave I am, or maybe it's because my mom doesn't let me watch them, thus I feel like I need to. Take your pick.
I'm a big fan of Will Smith, and I Am Legend, in one of the pictures above, is my absolute FAVORITE "scary" movie. To be honest, most people would probably laugh at me for thinking it's scary, and I don't blame them, but cut me some slack okay? My mom thinks it's a terrifying movie, but let's just say she's a little soft-skinned when it comes to that sort of thing (don't tell her I said that), so whenever she says "this is too scary for you", I can't really take her word for it.
Recently my family got Netflix(Who knew hat with thousands of movies to watch, we could find nothing we WANTED to watch?), and of course we became the standard couch potato family. With a limitless collection of movies at our fingertips, my family decided to have a movie night. So, last week we invited my boyfriend over. After searching and searching, my mom said "oh this is a good one", and we were all thinking, what the heck, might as well (Charity doesn't always pick out the best movies, to say the least).
But Oh. My. Gosh. The movie was amazing.
For once my mom picked out a movie that actually terrified me to the point where I was crying into my boyfriend's shoulder part of the time, and when it ended I refused to walk him to his car because, well, I'm already scared of the dark , so the movie didn't help. I almost begged him not to leave. He's like my skinny teddy bear who makes everything better...but of course I wasn't going to tell my mom that I was scared. I have too much pride for that. And yes, I slept with my night-light on that night (what? Is that such a big deal?).
If you're curious, it's called The Sixth Sense, and is absolutely worth your time. But maybe you should watch it during the day...with a friend...not alone...
As always: Stay Weird!
